What HeartRiskCalc is
An educational tool that estimates the population-level probability of a first heart attack or stroke over 10 years, using the 2013 ACC/AHA ASCVD Pooled Cohort Equations. The result is a statistical estimate, not a diagnosis. It is not personalized medical advice.
What HeartRiskCalc is not
- It is not a substitute for a physician who knows your history.
- It cannot detect an ongoing heart attack, arrhythmia, valve disease, or any condition that requires an ECG, imaging, or a physical exam.
- It is not validated for people with pre-existing cardiovascular disease. If you've had a heart attack, stroke, stent, or coronary bypass, your care plan should be built around secondary-prevention guidance.
- It is not validated for adults under 40 or over 79.

Talk to a professional
Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you have about a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read on HeartRiskCalc.
